THE RING FINGER NAIL TREND

Many stars like Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus, etc.. have been spotted rocking the 'ring finger nail trend' on the red carpet and on the street. Basically, the ring finger nail trend is when you paint your ring finger a different nail color than the rest of your nails. I don't really know the real reason why people are starting to do this, but my interpretation of it is that maybe since the ring finger has a different nail color, people tend to look at it more and it 'emphasizes' your ring. Which I think is a really cool idea. My sister and I decided to try it out, so we bought a few bottles of nail polish and... tried it out.  She got a pink shade for her ring finger and a bright yellow shade for the rest of her nails. As for me, I used the same pink my sister used on my ring finger and a kind of teal shade for the rest of my nails.

I applied only a coat on each nail. Both nailpolishes are from Caronia. For a local brand, they are pretty pigmented nail polishes, especially the teal one, which is called 'On The Go' and the pink one is called 'Baby Pink'. Both nail polishes have no shimmer. Visit Caronia here

PETER PAN COLLARS

The Peter Pan Collar was named after the collar of the costume worn by actress Maude Adams when she played the role of Peter Pan in 1905. Since then, the Peter Pan Collar has been a fashion item.

Stars spotted rocking the Peter Pan Collar include Alexa Chung, Emma Watson and English television presenter, Caroline Flack.

MAD HATTER: GIGI BURRIS
Ever since the Royal Wedding, where all the guests were spotted in their unique Philip Treacy hats, everyone has become hat-crazy. Gigi Burris is a hat maker, whose hat designs attract a younger generation of fashionistas and are seen on runways and worn by some of the most influential people in the world today. Some stars seen working the trend, include Lady Gaga and Rihanna, who are big fans of Gigi's designs. I personally think that a hat is an ultimate form of self expression and a great way to stand out, so I can't wait to own one of her whimsical creations.

PEPLUM

Peplum is everywhere! I've noticed many celebrities, models and style icons sporting this figure flattering trend on the red carpet, in social events and parties and most recently on the cover of Nylon magazine, where Mirror Mirror star, Lily Collins, looked gorgeous wearing a black leather peplum top. I love peplum because it looks great on anyone and can be paired with anything. Try a similar looking peplum top with a mini pencil skirt. Or try a peplum skirt with a fitted top tucked in. xx
